A Planet Of Mine 300 Day
Another way to measure a day is to count the amount of time it takes for a planet to completely spin around and make one full rotation. This is called a sidereal day. On Earth, a sidereal day is almost exactly 23 hours and 56 minutes. We know how long an Earth day is, but how about the other planets in our solar system?
I stumbled upon this game yesterday (browsing through Toucharcade's top games of last year). It's a rather deep strategy game - there's a multitude different resources to gather, biomes with different properties and quite a few different races of space-faring animals. Plus it uses a rather unique perspective - instead of isometric or top-down view your planet is represented as a sectioned rotating circle. Each section can be used for building or gathering resources and each full rotation is a planet cycle (you can speed up time by manually rotating your planet). The basic game is free with IAP's that unlock other races and game modes (each 'Race Pack' unlocks all the game modes and there's one IAP that unlocks all the races). Youda sushi chef game online.
With the free game you get basically one mode (not counting the tutorial) with time limited to 300 planet cycles plus 4 races that have different stats and different perks. No ads., no timers, no premium currency BS.
It's similar to Polytopia in that regard (except You can buy all available races with one, not so expensive purchase).Worth a try if You're a sucker for 4X strategy games. It turns out there's a little indicator under the wood that tells you whether or not it's growing at the rate you're using it, just hard to interpret. Theoretically it could last indefinitely if you only put one dude on it.
You can build some other building to increase how many workers it can support after you go up a tech level or two (going up in tech levels is called ascension, it's the white diamond at the bottom). For upgrading the mines, once you get to like ascension (tech) level 3 or something like that a little set of arrows will appear on the ui for the mine and you can click it to upgrade.I still have no idea what resources I should be getting in what order, or what to build first, but hopefully this saves at least a bit of trial and error!.
