MYSTIC — for the time being due to concerns about the coronavirus, according to a notice posted on its website.“We have temporarily closed the Aquarium to support Connecticut’s effort to contain the spread of COVID-19. The safety of our staff, visitors and animals is our top priority, and we will continue to monitor developments and reassess accordingly.
During this time, essential staff will continue to provide world-class care for our animals as well as maintain the Aquarium’s campus. Precautions also remain in place for the health and safety of the essential staff,” representatives of the aquarium said in the notice.Previously purchased tickets will be honored once the aquarium re-opens, according to the notice. Additional updates will be provided on the aquarium’s website and social media accounts.“We look forward to welcoming you back to the Aquarium when we receive notification from state officials that it is appropriate to reopen,” representatives of the aquarium said. “Thank you for your continued support during this period of uncertainty.”william.lambert@hearstmediact.com.

The Mystic & Noank Library Board of Trustees will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at 6:00 P.M. via Zoom Website Platform to discuss and adopt its Internet and Computer Use Policy. Copies of the proposed policy can be accessed at www.mysticnoanklibrary.org. The public is invited to submit comments via email to trustees@mysticnoanklibrary.org OR via regular mail to Mystic & Noank Library, 40 Library Street, Mystic, CT 06355. If you wish to speak during the public hearing portion of the meeting, please submit your name, telephone number, and email address to trustees@mysticnoanklibrary.org prior to the meeting date. We will follow up with the Zoom information once it is scheduled.
