The Coin Game is a fun ticket arcade that is run by goofy robots on an little island full of things to do. The arcades include highly detailed machines with realistic physics that were inspired by modern arcade machines. There is even a ticket redemption area to exchange your counted tickets for all kinds of fun prizes. Larry’s Arcade even has an in-house animatronic band called Terry and the Ticket Eaters that would love to play you some tunes while you enjoy the arcade. Make sure to watch out for the minions, they really love Teddy and his band. Run out of money? That’s ok. You can work odd jobs around the island to get back on your feet. Got extra prizes? The island has a Pawn Shop that will buy your used prizes for cash so you can go blow it back at the arcade.

You can play The Coin Game anyway that you like. For the laid back players, you can just play the fun games and win tickets to exchange for silly prizes. You don’t have to worry about anything but winning tickets. Unlimited money. No curfews. No rules…. just arcade freedom brought to you by your rich Uncle Phil.

The Coin Game includes all the fun activities of a real trip to the arcade. Including drinking soda all day, dodging sugar filled minions and living off of vending machine cheesy poofs. To earn a little extra money you can scavenge the dumpsters and trash cans or even deliver newspapers around the island for extra spending loot. Explore the island on the Islandville bus system or even your very own golf cart.

There is lots of highway traffic and tourist activity on the island all year round, so make sure to keep off the roads or you may get a little surprise. There is even a few areas planned for the future that are off limits for now and surrounded by construction fencing to keep you safe. The Islandville Transit bus is always running if you need to get around the island doing chores. To hail the bus, simply click the button in any bus stop and buy a bus pass. Each bus ride costs one pass ($1.50).

Posting a review before I get too busy.The good:Components are good, board is big. Art is pretty.The replay value is strong.The gameplay is quick once you've done a practice round.The solo mode (unfortunately, the only way I've played so far) is challenging and works pretty well. I've lost to it 3 times as I ran through some quick games to learn the rules.The upgrade/build/recruit options are fun and new to me. Almost like they took an RTS PC game and translated it to the board. Each action produces multiple results and keeps you making important decisions.There are tons of choices to make in the game. Almost too many.You'll be constantly challenged to make good decisions so you can't just sit back and coast.

I think that, over time, I'll develop a better feel for which methods of generating Coins (victory points) are the most efficient.Good amount of randomness, good amount. Both sides are the same, with the dollar sign on it. These are 3.5 cm in diameter, slightly larger than a Kennedy half dollar. My package was 4 coins short, and 1 in 10 had a minor coloration or physical defect, but this is still an incredibly great value. I used a pair of toenail clippers to snip off the burrs.

I find it interesting to see how many buyers are getting these for board games. Me too, and I would love to see a nickel-sized version. (I'd buy 2 bags!) Why 5 stars? Seriously, it's the best price per coin you're going to find in a retail setting.

I would buy it again. Very cool fantasy coin set. I bought these to add some variety to some other metal coins we use for RPGs and Red Dragon Inn. The bag is quite large, I would say about the size of a crown royal bag. More than enough to hold these 60 coins and the other 140 coins I had for a total of 200 coins.

There is plenty of room for even more, perhaps double that? My only gripe about the bag itself is the drawstrings. They are made of a very strong, tough material, but are too stiff for my use. My wife gave me some worn shoelaces from a pair of her old boots she wasn't using anymore.

I cut them down and they worked great!The coins themselves are beautiful. Nice weathering on the Gold Dragon coins as well as the Copper Stag coins. The Silver Kraken coins didn't really have.

If you think you are a connect four superstar, then you've never gone toe to toe with me. I'm not one to normally brag, but I rock at this game. And if you like to throw shade at your opponent, the bigger the game, the better. I have been a fan of kicking butt at the normal sized game for much of my 40+ years on this planet, but was introduced to this enormous sized version on a trip to Mexico. The resort I was staying at had it pool side and I ended up bringing the resort trophy home. I ended up buying one for home use and continue to rock it, making neighborhood kids cry when I dominate them! This giant connect four is well put together and allows for full, stand-up smack talking and 'bye Felicia' hand gestures when you win.
