It features a bunch of skating locations, tons of tricks, and plenty of character customization. You also get a free skate mode, online multiplayer, hardware controller support, and customizable controls. This is very similar to Mike V: Skateboard Party. That’s because it’s the same developers for both games.
In fact, both games are fairly interchangeable. If you like one, you’ll probably like the other one too.
Skater Boy is a 2D platformer with a skateboard theme. Each jump performs a trick so nothing special there. It’s otherwise a very simple game. You basically just collect various items and make it to the end. It also features 90 levels. This is probably the worst game in our top ten if we’re being honest. However, this is also the only game that is entirely free with no in-app purchases.
That makes it a decent time killer for those on a budget. It also happens to play like older Tony Hawk games for the most part. You skate around parks, grind it up, do big air tricks, and complete various challenges.

This isn’t quite console quality. However, this format is among the most popular for mobile skateboarding games.

It features several skate parks, decent mechanics, and some realistic stuff like deck wear and using your fingers to gain speed. The in-app purchases are a little rough, but they all unlock permanent parts of the game such as skate parks, missions, and street courses. This is definitely in the top two or three best mobile skateboarding games. There are a few bugs here and there, but, well, welcome to games in in the 21st century. The game usually goes for $1.99 with in-app purchases, but it seems like it’s been free to install for a while now.
